Well, my brother didn't appreciate the gorilla. Here are two elephants from the same book.

Little Monkey
This is from that fabulous Ondori book 'Lovable Mini Dolls'. It's for my brother's birthday. He is particularly fond of gorillas. The felt is gorgeous. I got it on eBay from www.pixierose.co.uk. It is important to use good quality felt when toymaking. Poor quality felt does not hold the stitches well which causes problems when stuffing the toy.

Create and Craft TV
We have a TV channel here dedicated to craft. It's mostly trying to flog things, but they have great demonstrations which give you loads of ideas. I have only ever bought one thing and that was via Ebay. It is a template for a martini glass card and box by the awfully clever arty farty people. Here is the one I made for my Dad's 70th birthday. Took ages to make, but I think he'll like it.

Hiatus
It's not that I don't want to craft, it's just that I don't get as much time as I'd like. I have made a few cards, but not much else. Will get back on the case soon.

I love Japanese craft
Here is the kumihimo braid I made. I used a foam marudai that I bought in the $2 shop ages ago. It's really easy to do and very therapeutic.
This little elephant card is based on a pattern in the Ondori 'Lovable Mini Dolls' book. I bought this book about 20 years ago and almost passed it over as it was 7 quid. Glad I splashed out. I've made a few of the dolls and adapted lots of the patterns to make cards.
